Doctor James Lovegood was the pathologist in charge of Daniel Latimer's obduction. He's assesment which he told DI Hardy and DS Miller was that the cause of death was aphyxiation. Bruising on the body indicated that the killer had large hands, was most likely male and that Daniel had faced his killer when he was strangled. Daniel also had superficial cuts and bruises and traces of domestic cleaning fluid on skin. Dr. Lovegood tells them that mercifully there was no signs of sexual violence.
